Monday Tuesday Full of Firsts

I don't even know where to begin!

The whole morning was spent bulking up this blog with blog/niche groups and getting new mommy blogger friends. After lunch we went to SM to meet up with my Crocs McCall Winter buyer from eBay! You can really sell stuff on the site I tell ya. I've been using eBay since I was in high school selling gadgets and everything else.

That was Jacob's first time at an SM mall and our first time to use their breastfeeding station. I wasn't able to take pictures of the breastfeeding station mainly because I didn't have my iPhone with me or a camera. My hands/arms were also full because I was carrying Jacob in one arm, the diaper bag in another. Strollers or companions are not allowed inside. They have to wait outside for you until you finish. 3 Month Old Jacob + Saturday Out

Hello there! How adorable is our Chips Ahoy bed sheet and this little boy?

I know, I know. I was supposed to post a blog about his birth but I just had to put this up first. Jacob is now 3 months old and he learned a new skill the day before the 24th!

He can now lift his head up around 3 or so inches above the bed for a long time! He was actually able to do this during tummy time when he was about a month old but only to switch sides that he was looking at. He can crawl a little but he goes clockwise/counter clockwise. Hahaha! He's really strong and advanced for his age. At 2 months old, he can support his head and look around when being held up while being carried.

So as a reward for the little one, we got him a crib/playpen to celebrate his 3rd month. He also needed new clothes. As in I had to move out plenty of clothes from his drawers because he had already outgrown them. AND THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE WORN UP UNTIL HE IS 3 MONTHS OLD! He hasn't been able to wear them since he was 2 months old coz they were tight. They sort of became back-up clothes in case he had dirtied up all the nice fitting ones. Lol. He makes tons of 'exploding diapers' and I mean exploding! I would post a picture here but it might be too much for you guys without kids (maybe even those with! LOL). READ MORE AFTER THE JUMP!

I would like you all to meet...

Jacob Gabriel Santiago at 13 days old!
Born on the 24th of May weighing in at 8 lbs and 3 ozs!

This little boy right here is my life now. I'm so happy you're healthy, meaty and cute! When he was born it was hard to say who he looks like, it still is pretty hard right now. Sometimes he looks like his Dad, especially when he's angry or crying. Rarely looks like me. There are times also that he doesn't look like neither one of us. Are you sure this cute baby is ours?

Gaaah, I love you son! I can't wait to teach you about the world and how to be a good Christian. I can't wait to read books with you and watch cartoons. I can't wait to buy you those giant coloring books like what I had when I was a kid, with matching giant Crayolas. I can't wait to build pretend houses/tents with you and hide from Dad. I'm sure that can't wait to teach you how to bike... among other things he plans on teaching you. You can be sure I will be there to stop him for some stuff he wants to teach. Haha. About Mr. Jacob's Mom

Mr. Jacob's Mom and Jacob

Mommy Roxi is a 20-something first time Mom to Jacob. Graduated with a degree in Communication Arts and Advertising from Miriam College. Likes blogging, but sometimes forgets to update, and even neglects the blog sometimes (sorry!). Was once an aspiring photographer (I'd like to think I still am...) but now just takes random funny and cute photos and videos of Jacob.

A party planner by heart. Would want to work more on her own business as an event planner in the future!

Loves traveling to the U.S. but recently became overly-claustrophobic so it gets hard sometimes.

Loves her son, Jacob, and husband, Oscar, to bits. Found her purpose in life as a nurturing and loving Mom and wife. Will never trade her family for anything in the world.

Currently is a stay-at-home slash work-from-home Mom. Working on contractual projects online while caring for her little one.

Being a young Mom is actually quite fun. I still have tons of energy to care for the baby. Late nights are manageable, though early mornings are not. I will be able to go after him when he starts walking/running, that's if he doesn't outrun me. The thing that surprises me the most is that I am very patient with him. Osc is actually the one that starts getting "stressed" "angry" when Jacob starts to cry in the wee hours of the night and wouldn't stop. I suppose my patience will be tested when he's in his terrible two's. Heard that stage is a pain in the butt.

I am really excited about filling this blog with tons of stories and musings. I just hope Jacob will let Mommy write more often! :P

AFTER 6 MONTHS...

I am breaking my 6-month long blog hiatus starting TODAY! I had trouble finding the right words to post entries as soon as I hit the third trimester mark. I guess the pregnancy brain was getting to me already. LOL!

Our Family!

YES. Our baby was born perfectly healthy! Will post our LONG birth story in the next few days. I want to recall the last semester with you guys.

I remember vividly how I spent my last trimester as a pregnant woman. I had lots of false labor to begin with. Gave us a lot of practice when it comes to going to the hospital where the baby would be born. It got pretty tiring by the third trip to the Delivery Room! But we are thankful for those trips because they eased our minds to know that baby boy is safe. READ MORE AFTER THE BREAK!
