Birthday boy wearing his Baby Gap onesie from Ninang Rozel
After how many months of preparing for the big day (just like a wedding in my opinion!), we're finally done with the 1st Birthday Party! I couldn't have asked it to go any other way. All our closest friends were there as well as family. Well, not all family. I wish my sisters and family in the US were here to celebrate with us, but that's like reaching for the moon.
Anyway, the night before the 26th, the caterer came over and left the tables and chairs already so that they will just set up tomorrow. Turns out, they have 4 events the same day! Good thing we know the caterer. Thanks Ms. Heidi Ong! I recommend them really, the food was yummy. I particularly loved the pasta dish. As with any party you throw, the hosts barely get to eat the food. So yeah, I only got to eat so little of the caterer's food because I was all over the place, talking to friends and family.
We borrowed a tent from our 'baranggay' in case it rains or for those hot hours in the day. They were also set up the night before. My friend and our house help also put up the decorations inside the house as well as some of the lanterns outside. Turns out, putting up all the lanterns outside the night before wasn't such a good idea because I had to rush out of the house at 2 o' clock in the morning to pull down a few of them because it started raining. I was in my freakin' robe because I just had a massage! Lol. The balloons were also blown up and attached to sticks ready to be used the next day. The karaoke machine that we rented came early the next day. READ THE REST OF HIS 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY AFTER THE BREAK!
